CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2024

The CSIR NET syllabus 2024 contains topics from all five subjects- Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. Candidates need to go through the topics of their respective CSIR NET subjects to prepare for the exam.

What is CSIR NET Exam ?

The CSIR NET Exam is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research to determine eligibility for lectureship and research fellowship. This exam is given twice a year, in June and December. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the notification for the June 2024 session of the CSIR NET exam 2024 in April.

The CSIR NET Question Paper 2024 of each paper is divided into three sections- Part A, B and C

The CSIR NET Part-A comprises General Aptitude questions that assess the candidates’ teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension skills, divergent thinking and general awareness

Paper B and Part C questions are based on the subject chosen by candidates from the following five subjects - Earth Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The exam carries a weightage of 200 marks
